Bah humbug. They keep shooting the software out so fast. More then likely I will love 8 just as I swear by 7 now, but they are just producing it way too fast.

*Chuckles cause work pays for software and not me* :D

They're killing PS. Version 6.0 forever!!!

What an ugly splash!! And now we have a filter gallery? The noobs are gonna be all over that one. Also wtf is the "effects palette" crap? The only thing i do like (thats not in version 6..but in 7 i think) is the pixel aspect ratio! That makes it a ton easier than calculating the dimensions or having to open Premiere to figure you what size you want lol

Ugh.

I'm sure the splash will change before release. And I can see the benefit of the filter gallery, because you can see what a filter will do to your image without actually applying it. You can also compare filters side by side. At least that's what I understand from those screenshots.

I was always a bit dissapointed when they put out a new version - then after a while I got used to it and I loved it - the hardes part ever was when they changed the shortcuts from 5.5 to 6 I think...boy that was a pain - still - I can't wait to see it - and try it -

Im not sure I like the filter gallery... it look to much like Element to me... And it seem to take a lot of spacwe on the screen...

I hope this will be like file broswer of PS 7... only ans option and still have the clasic way to select a filter...

Chosing the color profile on thr document itselfe seems like a great time saver for me... and even more if you switch from print to on screen desing often.
