Ok, I've recenlty decided to start freelnnce website design, but the problem is, I need an attractive name and url.

And every n00b has got some LABS or Designs, so I'd like to stay away from those ones.

I have thought up a couple, I'd like some unput on:

1. Perpleximages.com
2. Dimensionimages.com
3. Divine-mindz.com
4. Perplexionz.com

If you have any feedbackor suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Use one of the first two... i HATE names with the 'z', doesn't seem professional. More like one would name his gang.

I like the first one best.

Well I don't now how well divine-mindz would work anyways, since at the moment I'm the only one.

You think Perpleximages is a good title for freelance website design?

sounds like you're confusing your clients, so no the reason design or studio is used is because it does convey a professional image. chances are trying to sound overly cool and hip is going to scare the businesses unless you've got some experience behind you.

I agree the "z" screams non-professional...

...and i think anything with images/Designs/Labs etc. tacked onto the end are kinda lame. In my opinion you shouldnt put what you do in your name.

Also words like Perplex / Dimension / Pixel / Liquid (i hate this one the most) are mostly BUZZ words. They really dont mean anything and in my opinion look noobish also.

What you need (in my opinion anyway..you may not agree) is something unique (unique examples: Juxt Interactive | Entropy8 | RazorFish). Like take Juxt for a second. The name came from the word Juxtapose. The reason the company picked this is it means to put 2 things side by side....in their case its design and technology side by side.

You dont have to have "meaning" but i think you should shoot for something unique. Think about what word mostly represents your style..or the way you design..or something about you. Now take that word and put it in the thesaurus!!!!!!! lol

Edit: Fig posted while i was typing so im editing.

I gotta agree with fig.
chances are trying to sound overly cool and hip is going to scare the businesses unless you've got some experience behind you

That is an excellent point. But I gotta disagree too cause i think "designs" is becoming very overused/un-professional. Studio (or group..etc) are ok though.

Yeah I wasn't really confident in the "z" aspect. I'm pretty sure a z spells out "noob" and I've just lost half my potential business.

You seem to have a good handle on the names, does Division-Media.com sound misleading or unprofessional? I think it's rather fitting.

EDIT: Here's my latest piece that might how my sense of style :: link ::

Division-Media.com is a lil better... but its taken (you could register with the "-" if you wanted). Always search your ideas. Make sure no one has it or comes close lol

well, divisionmedia.com, aling with about 4 others I thought of using were registered with Netowork Solutions: The online URL whore.

Plus divisionmedia isn't in english. It's from the Netherlands from what I undertand, so a little "-" might not be that bad.
