small question?? i could write you a book lol. My "main" education was actual classes like photoshop, illustrator, printing, digital pre-press, video, animation, web design, film, traditional painting classes..that sort of thing. Classes gave me a strong "background". They really help me learn the programs/basics and use that knowledge well. The rest of my education is self taught from books...magazines and surfing "design portals" / Forums / "best of the web" kinda sites. If your looking for some info on how to start....than i highly reccomend courses!!! |

Yeeeaaaah. My great grandfather was a master photoshopper, he then taught the skill to my grandfather who taught my dad. My father is currently teaching me so I can become a master and then teach others. But, yeah, basically it's in our blood. On a serious note. I use online tutorials, and experimenting. Also just messing around for hours at night. However, I am strongly against taking classes. There they will teach you how to select using the lasso tool, and how to make gradients. Then they will tell what a layer does. That's it. |
