hey ppls, I'm only 14 at the mo (yeah, that's young but hey, deal with it) and I'm wondering what kind of subjects i should choose at skewl and TAFE to help mi out? I've been using photoshop for 3 years already and a little bit of website design n Illustrater, but i still need 2 no tons more. also, what kinda skills do u need? the answers are probably here in this forum sum where, but i can't find em. |

Take design classes if they offer them at your school. Any kind of art classes. Drawing and stuff. Also programming classes if they have any. You will need a good understanding of design, interface design, business sense, programming knowledge... Etc etc etc. Like Charm has said before, just learn everything you can. It will all influence your design style. Focus more on learning the design, color, interface design stuff now. Because by the time you will do it professionally, all the programs will be different anyway. So don't waste so much time learning the programs. They are only a tool.
