Unless that is his server, there isnt much he can do. You can bitch to host and hopefully if they are any good they would have done the right thing and reported it or investigated it a bit, but as Paavo said, unless that hacker(s) was retarded, then getting their true IP is hard. Only in extreme cases where the FBi or something would come in, will they do an extensive search....

apparently every cyberpixels server was hacked..so every wesbite they host has the same thing. It's appently fixed...they tell me to 'replace my index.html' and everything will be ok. I do that..nothing happens.

delete the whole site and all the directories and change the user and password. Then re load it. It is best. Even if the page is the same you never know when someone may have changed a word or something that isnt obvious. oh yeah.... time to change hosts..... lol! |

Zed was telling me that Hostradius got hit too. Marble..i have an image on house of shu called 'splash.jpg'. It's address is http://houseofshu.com/images/splash.jpg I deleted this image...and later uploaded it again. It still 'does not exist'. I don't think what you suggest will work because really what you're saying is a larger scale thing of what i just did above. |

You should set your browser to check for a new version of the page every time it loads. Caches are silly.

...i can't find aanything about caches in Safari...maybe it doesn't use them. I have to thank you actuallt..when i was looking for the option in the preferences i came across the new beta 'tabs' feature. It's so slick. Take a look at the screen grab...only one page needs to be open at one time. I keep finding all these great little things http://cyblingdesign.com/images/screengrab.jpg |
