I have loaded a large collection of fonts into OSX font folder. When I open PS7 my font list stops at the letter m. IF I start removing quantities of fonts then I get further up the alphabet. Question.. Is there a limit to how many fonts PS7 can display. The whole font collection is available in Illustrator 10 but not so in PS7. I need to finish a job but have only half my fonts available.. If someone can advise on problem, solution or workaround I will be most greatful...... :( |

Adobe Type Manager, or a similar program. You can have all your fonts on your system and turn on or off any or all fonts. It is the proper way to keep large amounts of fonts under control.

yes I have Suitcase 10 installed which handles all font management however it is a slow process to open and activate different suitcases when you need...I am really trying to find out why PS7 does not display all the fonts that show up in all other applications..

Well, if i told you that PS7 could display 10,000 fonts or 100 fonts, would this really help you? Surfing through the useless fonts is much more time consuming then turning on and off a few suitcases. I really suggest you have only the fonts you do use or might use turned on. Then, go and print sample sheets of all the fonts and bind it. Now you will have a book to flip through so you can browse through them with ease.
