Hes a web designer... Anyone I know can do better than this!!!!

Hey, whatever makes people happy. If that is where they want to spend their money, let them. When that web site owner wants it done right, they'll come to the right people.

who cares if there are bad designers out there. you should have seen my first site... i had a 850k jpg on the homepage!

they are working and a lot of people aren't, so back off!

Did you put text on that 850k website offering webdesign services?

All I mean is... these people need to know that their site doesn't look good. If they have to learn that the hard way, so be it. If the truth hurts, go to church.

Well I'm not sure if I would say "bad" things to the people that makes horrible sites...
okey of course I have to laugh a bit and then feel sorry for the people...
But I feel more sad for the people who really knows so little about the net that someone would actually buy something from sites that looks....ahm...not so good...

This is a friend of mine's dad. He has been in the design business for sometime now and gets large clients. I dont follow him or nothing, but my friend does his hard coding on the side and last fall was working on a large project for Weyerhaeuser, which if you are from the northwest, you know they are a pretty large company. He is working on a "real" site, but his site has been this mailto link for quite some time....

** edit.... So I guess my point is, (not to say "tacky" is an excuse for good design....) but here is someone who does all kinds of media, including web design, but hasn't ever bothered to create a website. But is actually quite an experienced designer....

My point is not to insult someone with such an amateurish website... Anyone as the rigth to create his own site and express himself... and this is a good side of the net...

However, my problem is than these claim than they are webdesigner, they clearly never studied and have no ieda how to work like a pro... they are saying than anyone can do our job, and by doing so hurth new designers who have studied and trying to gert contract...

That is a great point. I blame stupid companies who hire anybody just as much as anybody else though. Bottom line is you get what you pay for... (most times).
