Get off the computer and do anything not computer related...seriously. Its not good to do all your thinking in front of a monitor. Grab a pencil and paper and do some brainstorming. But first take a break and clear yor head.

if i'm working on a site, i usually sketch it down first so i have a basic layout to work from. but if i do get a brain freeze i usually just play on a game or do something else and come back to it a day later

I always take notes on my dreams in the morning. I almost never get around to drawing anything related to my dreams, but I should, I have some pretty messed up dreams. Couple nights ago I dreamed I was a nature explorer-type searching for Bigfoot in the rainforest. I saw him and was taking notes on my notepad, and it was pouring out, and the ink and paper stayed dry...and I was watching Bigfoot through the rain, and I looked down and my notepad again and I realized that the entire time I was writing in an ancient Egyptian language...all in hieroglyphics. And I could understand what I wrote. I know, it's off subject, but just an example of how screwed up my dreaming-mind is. |
