May1stReboot is when international designers close down their sites, place a M1stR placeholder telling visitors that they're participating in the M1stR, and while they're at it they completely redesign their page. When May 1st rolls around, they all unleash their new designs and there are judges who evaluate the sites and choose winners, and the winners get something good I guess.

so let's review the options...you can either redesign your site whenever you want to and spread the word and get it noticed, or you can do it on may 1 with a bunch of huge name designers and compete for attention...hmmm...
