I rarely post, infact I don't think I've ever to post? But I'm at an ends . . . I just upgraded my system with a 2.4 MHz Proc and a Geforce 440 Graphics Card. Unfortunately PS (ver 6) keeps crashing (not responding) now . . . I'm a fish out of water, I've tried everything I know to correct the problem? Any suggestions folks, thanks in advance . . .

Reinstall Photoshop. If that doesn't work, format and reinstall windows.

Well, if I were I'd only be afraid of reinstalling windows, since it's a huge bitch!

Just reinstall Photoshop, with a very proper uninstall first, and I'm sure it'll be fine.

Software sometimes gets scared of new hardware...:D

You changed your processor and gfx card? I'd say that calls for a reformat anyway, unless you've just done one.

Gfx card wont affect it, but definitely if you switched Mobos and processors - you would be advised on a clean install or deal with problems....

Hope it all works well from now on!

(and you probably know this but ME is not a good OS....)

Oooooohhh...you should have said in your first post you were using Windows ME....then we could have skipped the troubleshooting and went straight to:

Format the machine.
