I remember someone a while ago posting how irritated they were with thread titles that were meaningless (Utopian?) - like " Photoshop problems" , etc. It never bugged me until I started using the search option regularily, and they were right! lol.... It is really a bugger when you need to find a thread and you get pages of vague thread titles.

I agree...the other thing that I can't stand is topic titles like "my website again" or whatever...USE THE SAME THREAD. I couldn't really convey my frustration since I used a wrong example to accompany the actual problem. But some people make sure that their title is clear, and that there is no chance that it could get mixxed up w/ a previous post of theirs....hard to explain :(

Yes. But unfortunately it does no good to bitch about it, because the people that post meaningless thread titles are the people that post here once asking a question and never come back.

So the only way to fix it would be to have a waiting period before you could actually post. Even after you register. Plus you have to pass a rigorous test and be accepted before you can be a member. And submit your resume', references, etc.

This is something that could even be added to the forum rules. I mean, for new people that are just coming here, and the people that are here now would benefit from specific thread names.

99% of the people that sign up here do not read the rules. So that wouldn't really help anything.

Well, I labeled my last thread "First Site (again). Maybe thats what you are reffering to. But it so happens that the first time I had shown it, was ages ago. Plus, the content and everything is entirely different. So rather then digging up a completly old and useless thread, it was time to create another one.

On the other hand, I do try and create clear threads. As well, I try my best to give comments AND criticism. Not one or the other. Helpful and insightful comments is something that is lacking by a good portion of people here. I agree, posts like "Need help quick" and such are completely unneccesary, but cmon, Im sure in your 1500+ posts, youve posted a bad thread title now and then.

Anyways. I do agree with this thread for the most part, but not everyone follows the "rules". Even the people high on their horse.
