I just paid the fee to get membership to NAPP - been wanting to do that for some time now - somehow I never got around to asking this and it may be too late now :( - well here goes: Is it any good? - I mean I hear only good things about it but I never heard anyone say - "yeah I am a member and it did me a world of good!" any of you guys members? - could you tell me if you like it Oh - since I'm in Europe it will take 3 (three) whole weeks!!! to get the package - that sux! I have no idea why they have to put the password for the site in a package and snail-mail it. I mean I understand it takes a while for it to get here and I'm ok with it for the magazine - but a password?!?! So I just wanted to get an insider's view on the matter - not the big secrets - I'll find those out in a while by myself - just if any of you guys are members and if it's really worth the price. Did any of you guys saw Photoshopuser Magazine AND Computer Arts Magzine side by side? - Which is best? Help me out here - I'm impacient |

NAAP Membership pays for itself. Get yourself accredited for further recognition and kudos (incedently the kudos is only earnt with a more than proficient theory and understanding of PS) As for the waiting, I consider it the same pain as our trans-atlantic brothers must feel at the release of Computer Arts. |

NAAP is top notch. I was a member for a year but I really didn't have the time to visit it a lot. The mag is very good. I still buy it at Borders. But Computer Arts is my favorite mag. Mainly because it has a broader range. For strictly PS you can't beat Photoshop User. It is the best ;) As far as Computer Arts the only thing that sucks is the $14.00 price tag. But it's worth every penny if you ask me... |

thnx - well - my main interest is PS right now - so it will serve me just fine... - computer arts - well I am going to buy a few back numbers that deal mostly in PS - and I'll hope photoshop user will do fine - but why the heck don't they give the password for the site on an email? This really really bugs me - I have to wait 3 weeks for the mag - ok - but for a darn password?????

NAPP rocks. I haven't renewed yet, but I plan to shortly. I've been a member since 1998, either through my jobs or on my own. Obviously, I highly recommend joining if you can - just think of it as a $100 Photoshop plug-in, and it won't seem as expensive. You get great help, good tips and really good discounts on graphics stuff. And, as they grow, they keep getting better and more useful discounts. |

lol - I am from Europe - more like a 149$ photoshop plugin but hey - who's complaining - I mean my only malcontent is that I have to wait so long - 3 weeks for the package... - other than that... <---- happy camper |

well, if you get discounts, etc., then it may be worth it, but i've never been asked by any potential employer or client if i have any kind of software certification or membership. your work speaks for itself. chris |
