I noticed that under the request area there were a number of desired features. I'm a programmer and have actually dabbled alot in Photoshop's SDK. From all the requests mentioned below Im pretty confident I can have all these features completed in 4 weeks (+/- 2 days) available for PS 5,6,7.0 for Windows. Here they are: - Customizable Menus (can move, add, delete menus) - Shortcut Key modifications - Chain icon for Paintbrush when still linked ("Unlink All" menu option when RClick on Paintbrush) - Turn on Favorites button in Save As - Color picker in Fill and Stroke Dialog - Add Custom Preset Sizes that user creates under File->New - Icon for Layer indicating Layer has no pixels in it - Shortcut to delete all Empty Layers from a file - Store Guides as a style (for recalling layout from file next time) - Shift+Alt/Shift+CTRL moves cursor 50x/100x (like moving object 10x when u hold down shift - Ability to lock postion horizontally or vertically (and not the other) - Black/White color pickers in Dialog (off to the side) - Under Open Recent have a list of the Most recent Folders - Editable History states (very similar to Layer History but still has bugs..Might be in 1st release) - Create Actions from History states - Turn on/off History - Identify what History can & can't capture - Keep Snapshots visible while scrolling through history - "Saved" entry as a state under History - Opacity bar under last history state - Compression on read/write - 8-bit save mode - Start letter of font while dropdown is visible - Default dir for File Browser - Folder Icon for Layer Sets when RClick Context menu appears (this solves that annoying prob of not knowing whether the menu item is a set or a layer) - Save As remembers last directory used and last file type - A way so that it doesnt attach the "Copy" word to a file when trying to save or specify an alternative - Have Load/Save dirs for Curves/Levels/Gradients/etc have a feature to point its dir to currently working in image or last that those types were loaded/saved to - A way to email images (that are currently working on that arent saved) from within PS. It would be under "Save for Web" menu and popup the bookmarks list for you. - Zoom/Pan to the active selection via a keystroke like Shift-DblClick - Use Shift+CTRL+0 to pan to selection and Shift+Alt+Ctrl+0 to zoom to selection - View > Snap To > Pixels - "Bake Effects" menu option that just converts a styled Layer into an ordinary layer but keeping the effects that were done. (Have an optins that can maintain original or delete when it is baked) I created a plugin called Layer History but i scrapped it...There were several features existing in it that happened to parallel what people here are requesting. It would be easy for me to transfer to the new plugin that helps "tweak" Photoshop. My only question is would any of you be interested in paying $5 USD for this tweaker plugin for Photoshop 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 for Windows-based PCs ? Or if not what would you be willing to pay for it, if at all? |

cool stuff at a glance that stuff that really appeals to me is: - Color picker in Fill and Stroke Dialog - Icon for Layer indicating Layer has no pixels in it - Shortcut to delete all Empty Layers from a file - Ability to lock postion horizontally or vertically (and not the other) - Under Open Recent have a list of the Most recent Folders - A way so that it doesnt attach the "Copy" word to a file when trying to save or specify an alternative the idea of loading guides as a style is intriguing, i haven't done much with guides but would that be like being able to create guides for slicing on one document, save those and open them into another doc? the 8-bit save mode could also be interesting. VERY cool stuff overal, personally i'd drop $5 for it. course, i also pay for my software in general, altho wings3d is about the coolest thing ever :D chris |

Sounds cool, not sure about money'n'STufF. Not because I'm stingy, I really think it's worth paying for, but the hassle and STufF of buying STufF from the US is too much for me, and I wouldn't use every feature you listed, although I think they are all cool. One Q: How will the baked layer thing work, if you have a layer which has an outer glow set to overlay and an inner glow set to softlight with the fill opacity turned to 0, how would that work on a single layer with no effects? |
