Well when searching for Windows 2000 hosting, I find a lot of "mom & pop" shops that charge like $8.00/month. I'm not trusting a hosting company that runs off a server in someone's basement. Most good Windows hosting costs about $80/month for even shared hosting with standard features. I suppose it is the lack of competition.

Maybe if Microsoft didn't charge ridiculous fees for using their products, people wouldn't charge ridiculous fees to host sites on their servers. Stupid Microsoft.

Yeah.. Linux hosting is much cheaper because the server softwares are actually free. Windows hosting require win2k license, mssql license(crazy fee) and all those other stuff you have to pay.

Actually doing that graphic is no secret I'll keep. Here is the quick story.

I've always been a HUGE fan and love the look of lightwaves logo.



I suck at 3D ;) And while I could duplicate that look in nothing more than standard PS it would take some serious work and time. So I started playing around with Auto FX's gel plugin. It was really easy after tinkering for a bit to get that look. I made mine a "bit" darker.



And that logo for pankpages is the actual graphic you see on (mt). Just a larger version with area's cut out ;)

So there really is no secret for that graphic. Completely different technique than the front page tps graphics...
