Hey guys, im a relative noob to photoshop. I play around with it and can make stuff i like and do quite alot of "gamer art" for my buddies in my CS clan. I really like the art side and wanna do somethin in graphix for a living. Im okay at drawing. I was thinkin about pickin up a wacom. The Graphire 2 is the one in my price range and was wonderin if that would be an okay thing to buy so i could hone my skills and hopefully get better to one day be in the big leagues like you guys

I've come to realization that I only enjoy graphic designing if whatever I was working on was for myself. :p Well enough about me, let's talk about you, what do you think about me. xD Okay, I'll stop joking around. If you're a 'noob' I guess the Graphire2 is probably the best way to go. Get used to using a tablet and once your works improve, save up for a better one (which I think would be the Intuos2, but don't quote me on that). Then have as much fun as you can until you're ready to enter the graphic world and hope to find an employer that you'd have fun working for. |

I've used both the Intuos2 and the Graphire2 for the past 4 years, and to be honest, I prefer the small one. Regarding the Intuos2, I never needed that much mapping, plus it takes up more room on your desktop and it's not as portable. - and that mouse.... never even took it out of the box, so don't sweat that. IMO, you can save your money and get a stick of RAM or a printer instead. |
