I would've taken the PSAT but I had to go to my photography class. Besides, I don't really have to worry much about the SATs unless I want to get into some jacked up ivy-league wanna be school. A friend of mine got into Cooper Union with a 1300 on the SATs and 88 average. And for non-New Yorkers, yes, Cooper Union is fxskking good.

Passing high school is enough for making it into any university here in Belgium :D

No aditional tests unless you want to go for civil engeneer ( I might  ) or for dokters.

Maths are just so hard, right now we're doing integrals and logaritmic functions and we're doing to go further into that and then geometry in 3d spaces (how do you call it in english :D).

those tests are dumb. here's my opinion/rant - since you asked, er...wait...

You can get into college just the same if you get a freakin' twelve on your ACT or a 35. Additionally, you'll forget all about your scores a month after you take them because you'll be too excited being free - FREE, I said!!!- of all the stupid pseudo-acedemia of high school. - puke.

Screw it, I say. (I think I got a 28 on my ACT, but I covered up 50% of that with beer hops and bong resin in college, so it's useless now...)

just have fun being young, screw the societal classifications.

You get much better scholarships if you have good scores though. That's the only good thing about them.

deker, i don't think they have the essay as a part of the SATs anymore.

secondly, Good Christian, if you guys are doing logarthmic functions, then belgium math isn't any different over here than it is here, we just did logarthmic function a few weeks ago in algebra 2. (11th grade, 16/17 years old)

may be difficult to do that well in the SAT (math section) if you are only in algebra 2. should have some trigonimtry by now. or atleast my school did, algebra 2 was a freshmen class. junior year was trig/precalc., may be different at your school. again if you get anything in the 1100+ you shouldnt have that hard of time getting into state schools. and 1000 for instate schools. its not that important, unless you are aiming for ivy league or something.

all these SAT things are confusing, here in England we just have major exams in yr 6(10-11 yr olds), yr 9(13-14 yr olds) and yr 11(15-16-17 yrs old[smarter people can take them a year early]).
And we get levels in the yr 6 and 9 exams...from level 3 to level 6 in the yr six one and level 4 to level 8 in yr 9 SATs.
And in yr 11, the GSCE's are graded, and anything higher than an F is a pass. all A*s could get you in to Uni immediately on a scholarship. We don't get scholarships like american's, who get scholarships for being good in a certain sport etc. Well not that i know of.

Our Exam system isn't as confusing .....ahahahaha :p

yea, i wasn't sure about that I only heard it somewhere. I thought students America were ahead with literature and stuff and we were more advanced in maths and then at the university things would even out.

Still, logaritmic functions was the easy stuff of this year. Integrals was the real pain. ;)
