Not sure if this would be the right place for this to go... if not, sorry pank.. just move me...

I was wondering if anyone had any experiences, insight into any good professional level printing firms. i.e. companies that print letter heads, bussiness cards, brochures, and the like..

I was just thinking of starting to offer printing services for my corprate identiety packages which i would be outsourcing to someone else, just as a service.
any ways... just thought i'd ask

Well, he's rude and crude, but Utopian is right, you should try a local print shop.

there are some other services online, but you may run into issues with color and quality. Kind of hard to press check someone you never met.

The best thing to do is visit them, there some who specialize in these type of printing, ask to to see samples of their work...

Also, when you take a look at their sample look for print quality (registration ink coverrage, alignement. Do not look at nice design!!! Design is your job, thei is to provide good print quality. The aditional time you will spent finding a good printer will pay at the end!

Also, if you you for the cheaper price you may get cheap quality. Printer with low price are often the one who need new client because their leave them for poor services. When you find a printer you liek than stay with him, with time you couls develop special relation with him (i mean comercial relation) and get a dicsount price with him.

Also you can save money by printing many job at the same time, lets say you have 3 clients who need bussines cards, since most of time you will use the same paper then have them print on the same job... this will lower the cost for press preparation (wich are somethime a big part of the price)...

Finaly, printing at a local printer can save you the shipement rates... and you easely keep contact with him...

Also look for people that are doing digital printing (?) rather than using films. Our work switched and we save a bit of money just from that and the quality has been superb.
