Oooh ooh, I'm 15! I mean... Making your own graphics will require some sort of imagination (kind of obvious but oh well). This area is broad so it'll be up to you on what you want to make, just make sure you abide by the following: Concerning filters, it's best NOT to overuse them. The vital filters are the blurs. Anything is useful just as long as you remember that filters are your friends. They help you, not do the job for you. Another vital thing to learn are the layer effects (Color Burn, Color Dodge, Multiply etc, not the Bevel/Emboss stuff). Text! Don't just put text anywhere you want it. If you make a really nice graphic and just put on some default font with some filters on it or a layer style applied to it, it defeats the purpose. Be sure to remember that placement of text and how it's displayed is key. I doubt that there's a tutorial on the specifics of typographical placement, but, just play aroud with the text. Move it around, rearrange the letters a bit until it appears to compliment the image. On a final note, try to refrain from putting in (C) MY DESIGN STUDIOS etc. in some awkward place. If you really want to do it, apply the comment above for how to display it. Annnd if I left something out, someone just add onto later on. :p |

The same thought ran through my head as well. I don't see how one can skip the tutorials and go straight to the forum. :( |
