Wow, this is a really slick browser. They've added some great new features and much better interface. Also, it's built from scratch and very very fast. I've never seen all the forum tables render so fast. www.opera.com |

Wow, if you press Shift + F11, Opera will emulate a PDA web browser so you can see what your site looks like on a PDA. That, plus the ability to turn pictures and stylesheets on and off, pretty much make Opera the ultimate site testing browser. It even emulates text based browsers thru a special stylesheet. There is also a special stylesheet the puts dotted outlines around all the tables and elements on the page, so that it looks like you are viewing the page in dreamweaver or something and can see the outlines to all the pages.

Yeah, it's really good. They have a really cool new email program integrated too. It keeps all your email in one central database, then has different access points, which basically just searches thru all the mail and pulls out messages based on the search criteria. So like when you get an email from John, and add him to you contact list, if you click on his name, it will show you all the messages from John. So they act sort of like folders, only it's automatic. You don't have to remember to put all the messages you get from John into the John folder. It just pulls them all out automagically. You can also label messages with things like "Funny" or "Valuable" then click on that label, and it will show you all the messages that you marked with those labels. It's very cool stuff and you are all silly for not using it.

Deker must have given up his job as a Mac-whore and taken up pimping himself out for Opera...

lol @ deker! behave! If you two kill each other, I'm gonna be S.O.L. next time I need to ask questions or advice about an app. And, being from Vegas, I consider myself the forum expert at identifying pimps and whores. Having said that, deker is far from a whore. That lady I passed on my way to BK for lunch - that's a whore. - And my bosses brother...now that's a pimp. (he runs an "escort" business). back to the topic: I'll check out the new Opera. I hope it's better on Mac Classic than the last version. (poo poo, IMO...) |
