I have a friend who has one of the true apple/windows ipods. I'm not much of a music fan, but his is cool and seems to work well for him. Seems to be happy with it. And he is totally clueless when it comes to operating computers, so it must be easy to use.

How could it be bad? It's one of the only MP3 players that has firewire, it's the size of a deck of cards, and has up to a 20 gig hard drive. The only comparable mp3 player that i've seen is that Creative one that has a 20 gig hard drive, but it's bigger than one of the first portable cd players, and it has USB so it would take like 10 hours to fill up that hard drive, where it will only take the iPod like 40 minutes for 20 gigs.

I would definitely get that one over all others.

I WANT ONE!!! I'm gonna give my Palm Pilot to my wife and get myself one. The only thing I use my Palm for anymore is Calendar and contacts.

My question is, do I need to get a software like

http://www.mediafour.com/products/xplay/

in order to get the sync up with Outlook contacts?

Charm: go buy one and tell me what you think!

I know that its pretty much just a hard drive. Like a portable one with controls. Its also really really heavy. And its lie $400.

I just use my Sone NetMD player and Im quiet satisfied with it. AND it was only $120.

You think 6.5oz is heavy? I think you need to hit the gym buddy....

Plus the fact that it is a hard drive is a benefit because you can store your calendar as well as contacts in the player itself. And it also doubles as a tiny, tiny, portable hard drive, so you can transfer files between macs and PCs without having to burn CDs or carry around floppy discs.

Stack, weigh and measure the size of 30 CDs in their boxes.

Do the same with a 20 GB iPod.

I'd take an iPod any day.

The software that comes for Windows isn't as good as the Mac version. My brother might get one.

Grums. *shudders*

I'm looking into an MP3 player, but the only thing is if I were to get this I'd have to get a Firewire card because I never felt the need to get one... But who knows...
