I'm looking for a setting on my Wacom tablet to not click unless I am pressing the side button.

I don't like how I can't drag the cursor around without drawing.

Any help?

Thanks,

If you lift it up a bit you can move it without it drawing. It's like a pencil.

If you set the pressure senitivity to hard enough, then you'll have to press quite hard to get it to draw.

I think that's the closest you're going to get.

agreed.

play with photoshop's pen settings in the brush palette, if you're using version 7.

otherwise, if you don't want the pen behavior, use your mouse, man.

Easy for you to say. :-) What if a simple software level setting in a driver didn't do what you "needed" and made your expensive investment work in a way you didnt want. I don;t want to make this personal, but I think my point is valid.

Anyay, I found how to do what I wanted. I had to move the vertical line that represents click force further to the right.

There wasn't a place to set the
pressure senitivity to hard enough
. I am assuming this you meant:

Here is what I did:

right on, good job!

what exactly do you apply this to, anyway? just curious.

I've been using a Wacom for a long time, and I just can't seem to figure out what you're working on that would require that type of stylus behaviour.

do tell...

Better yet... why don't you give up on the whole Wacom thing and ship it to me (I'll pay for the shipping)...

Who said I would want to get rid of it?

Maybe it is because I'm new with it, but I find that when I put the point down from "floating" over the pad (to find my spot) I miss the mark. You know, like when you lift up a mouse and set it down, it moves a little because the ball rolls. Similarly my fingers don't put it down in exacly the same spot vertically as where it was above the tablet.

Actually, I am really liking it with a little more "hardness" than I displayed in the image. I have the line almost straight and it seems get a good range of pressures.

Specifically, I am currently using it for vector graphics in Flash. No, I can't share examples cause I suck. More than that, thought is that I really would like this to be a complete mouse replacement and want to avoid unintended clicks.
