Anyone catch any of this weekend's opening games for college football? (not soccer "football" american "football") Great games, Nebraska vs. Iowa St. was a good one, despite the score - it was lots closer than that. And the Florida St. game - holy crap! That was great, too.

I hope baseball does go on strike. It will kill it. And then we can all just agree that football is America's pastime like baseball used to be. Sort of like Hockey in Canada, eh?

Any sports fans here anymore? Who are your teams?

i'm a HUGE football fan but NFL football, i watch some college, but that's rare and i don't follow any of the teams, there's just too many and i don't have the patience nor the interest to follow college teams. and my fav team, just had to announce this, are the Oakland Raiders :D

really Silent? I'm a UW alum. Care to make it INTERESTING?!

I'll take the spread and 90 points -for- Tennessee. (just kidding - I don't gamble...much)

But, do watch the QB for Wyoming, Josh Bramlet is his name. Came from a little town of 3500 people near my hometown. He's good. Too bad he doesn't have a defense worth a crap.

I just ordered pre-season Hockey tickets here in LV. I'm so stoked!!!!!

ALL I do this time of year IS WATCH FOOTBALL! I like College ball best though, MOST(not all) of the NFL players turn me off.

Alabama's first game is Saturday.... I can't WAIT!... Roll Tide!

Hey Silent - just checked the odds on that UW vs. Tennessee game - oh crap.... get this: Tenn. by 30.5!

told ya it would be ugly... :D:D

Nebraska and Oklahoma are also favored by 30 or more points. Looks like another tough year for the Big 12 Conference. Send all 12 this year, BCS! (idiots)

I might go to the Wisconsin vs. UNLV game on Saturday, too.

I feel so left out when people talk about football, I never follow any real sports... and the most active 'sport' that I do is go to upstate New York in the winter and catch me some 4 foot salmon and steelheads.
