Stand up comedians.

Who are your favorites?

I'll list mine in general, but not too specific order of likeness.

- George Carlin
- Hugh Fink
- Greg Giraldo
- Mitch Hedberg
- Penn & Teller ( Ok, not really stand-up... but funny as he!! )

Yes. List yours. Even if they're Finnish, Swedish, or whatever... I probably heard of them.

George Carlin

And the fat guy who used to sing "Conga" in a Chipmunks voice. I saw him on the MTV 1/2-hour comedy hour about 10 years ago and haven't heard from him since.

Hey if you fellas like Carlin, check out some of David Cross' standup stuff. I saw him live at the House Of Blues last year, and I'm still rolling.

my all time fave is Eddie Murphy 'Raw' - but also, some honorable mention:

Chris Rock's 'Bigger and Blacker'
'Bill Cosby as Himself'
Richard Pryor's 'That Nigga's Crazy'
Margaret Cho - anything
Dana Carvey Live
Sam Kinnison - anything

hey Mattboy - I know who you're talking about, I'm trying to find his name, he's funny as hell.

the stand-up comedians on comedy central are garbage.

the stand-up comedians on BET are usually really good.

george carlin and chris rock are brilliant!

i haven't seen any new comedians out now that are any good.

Mattboy - I think this might be the dude you're thinking of. I saw him with Kevin Nealon and George Wallace. He was the only funny one. Always hacks on himself - telling fat jokes, etc. He also did really funny voices.

I do a dead-on impression of the Kevin Meaney bit (him imitating his Mom):

"You kids and the pot, up there in your room smokin' the pot and listening to the rock and roll...that's not right!"

Yeah yeah GG, that might be!!!???

Holy flying ****! I've done Google searches for years, I mean it, years, and I make one post here and that's it! I'll email him and find out, if it is, I owe you one MONSTER hug.

He used to do a joke about going to a Chinese buffet, and the guy going "You heeer 4 owa...you go now". Ooo, that was a classic line that I'll remember forever.
