Can I change "date taken" in photoshop?

I have some pics that were emailed to me and when I go into my photoshop (elements 4.0) it shows a date taken that's wrong. I'm not sure if they have the time stamp incorrect on their camera or what is going on. However, I'd like to change it to the correct date. I only seem to be able to find how to change the edit date, not the date taken. Does anyone know how to do this? I'm afraid I may be having a blond moment, but I can't figure it out.

Many thanks!

I don't think this kind of functions are something for photoshop; except when it's a date that is 'printed' on the photo.
