Need suggestions on portfolio

i just started on a design for my portfolio. i want it simple clean, but with my touch of style. i will be using it for site as well as burning it on a cd to send out with my resume'. here is what i got so far. the squares up top will be rollovers from the faded to the original. any suggestions would be wonderful.

Looks pretty good to me kaethe, as far as the layout I think its great. I'm not sure I like the teal color... I'd like to see something that visually contrasts with the gold a little more.

yeah i lke the desgn but im not quite sure if i want to use it for a career portfolio...... im going to come up with another layout here soon.. the colors im unsure of as well, i think the next one i do i will probably do will be a dark scheme. it's been a while since i've jumped on the site design wagon so to speak so i need to look for something to inspire me on a design....
