i have a script that displays a certain image as a splash depending on the clients res but i want an image map for the splash so people can enter but since image maps are defined by points on the image i would need three different image maps can anyone tell me through javascript how to assign a certain image map to a certain picture?
i suppose the same method used on teamphotoshop.com would work just fine but i dont know what it is either

for the record:

i think having unique splashes for different resolutions detected and brought up by a script is a terrible idea!

the more complexity you add into any system, the more likely it is to fail.

besides, ONE splash is bad enough.

its true though, keep it simple. and what kind of splash would need to change depending on the client's res? is it like 1056x967 or something?

mine can go 2046x1536... so theres an example that you cant really plan on making a certain splash for all comps. splashes would look like &$@#% if i had my res to that.

If you need help with determining the points to use for each image, http://www.dansteinman.com has a nice free tool that does this.
