Hi there,

I'm sending word to let you know that http://www.3dbuzz.com will be producing free video training magazine cds for PHP and MySQL integration.

The 1st issue will explore some of the following:
* Installation of the Apache Web Server
* Installation of MySQL
* Installation of PHP4
* Creating Databases
* Creating Tables
* Connecting an HTML document to your database
* Entering records through forms
* Displaying records

This series will get VERY technical very fast and it will contain valuable information.

They are making these training cds available to people worldwide and will even cover cost of shipping. New issues will be released either monthly or bi-monthly and get increasingly advanced. They will always remain free and subscription is only required once.

I've already been receiving training cds from 3D Buzz (for Maya) and they are a class act and I'm looking forward to their PHP training. Hopefully some of the visitors to you the site can benefit from this information. The first issue should be released within the next few days.

Regards,

draz

Yeah, a link to their site with information would be most helpful. Even though I only get 100 hits or so a day, I'd promote it, but for this particular thing.

Even though I know most of what you just listed, I will probably check it out myself anyway.

Hi guys,

Sorry about this. I should have supplied you with more information. When you visit the site http://www.3dbuzz.com you should see a banner link towards the top of the page that says "Video Training Magazine Maya, 3DSMAX, XSI"

When you click that link you will be taken to the subscription page where you can specify what VTMs you are interested in. Right now there are 3 choices available for Maya, XSI and 3DSMAX but php and MySQL will be added very shortly. What I will do is visit back here and let you know when it has been implemented.

pank, I noticed you registered at the site. I tried sending you a pm to let you know that php would be up shortly.

MobileBadBoy, thanks for the offer to help spread the word! We need as many people as we can get to become involvd in this.
Will keep you updated.

Thanks guys!

(p.s. here is a direct link to the subscription page http://sv2.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/vmag_reg.php)

Hey, thanks for the links man. But it seems that there's a condition to how they mail you the CDs.

Priority of the Shipping:

1st out the door - In the future (when we are too big to pay for ALL of the shipping ourselves) - those that pay their own shipping will be shipped to first. AND, those that donate spindles of CDs!

2nd out the door - All real customers from 3D Buzz - this means anyone that has purchased our real training videos or other products will have their CDs shipped 2nd. The money from our sales goes toward paying for our servers.

3rd out the door - From this point, all remaining orders will be shipped based on user activity in the forums In other words, those that are most active will have their CDs shipped before someone who just signs up, registers, and leaves. I believe this is only fair to us... you know, the guys who are working around the clock to provide you with one of the most incredible things to ever hit the education world.

I'm willing to pay for the shipping, but where to I state that?

You're welcome.

Yes, they have a shipping priority based on who donates cdrs and active participation on the forums. Unfortunately Buzz is not accepting any money for shipping eventhough many of us have offered to pay it ourselves He doesn't want to seem to budge on this.

*sigh*

I guess I'll be waiting for a long time for the CD since, I won't be participating in the forums that much.
