I want to use this script
http://www.dhtmlshock.com/layer-effects/WriteToLayer/default.asp

when I click a link it displays what i want in a layer I specify.

Is it possiple to change it so what when I click a link, it displays the contents of a different page in that layer?

Use iframe.
Btw, you should be posting in the Client Side code section.
