Alpha settings on table bkgrnd colors..

Could someone please help me with the correct syntax to set the alpha/opacity setting on a table bkgrnd color? :( Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you..

I don't understand what you mean by "alpha/opacity" on a table background color? Can you please elaborate because as far as I know you can only set a background color as a color or hex number e.g #ff0000 (red).

hmmm.. if Im not mistaken, I think you can make part of a table color appear transparent, so that a background behind it shows through.. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.
