user notes in php?

first let me start off with the website:

ok. im trying to make that little box on the right be an input-type thing where the users can leave their name and msg, etc.

i dont know how the heck to get it to work, but i did get as far as i am by looking at:

www.bloodsquad.com

i dont really want to "steal" the guy's work, but i asked him for help and he said no.. and i really want to get it to work. if i can make the blasted thing go, ill change the layout of it so it doesnt look ripped or just give their website credit or something...

bah im rambling. someone please help

It must not bother you THAT much since you already have. And not just a little bit...

Looks like it's working to me... Instead of just taking his, why don't you just download an open source 'shoutbox' from someplace like www.hotscripts.com then you don't have to worry about it.

That still doesn't make it ok for you to make a replica of it or take the code off his site. Especially when he said he wouldn't help you. Did he also say you couldn't use his code?

he didnt say i couldnt use it, just that he wont help me with it..

i assumed he meant i could copy it and try to get it working.... so far no luck
