Php not working!!AHHH!

I can't seem to get the php working..can anyone check out my coding? I made it as simple as possible, heres the link:

It would be nice if we could see the code and know your purpose in creating the scripts?

In that directory is the header file and the PHP files that I tried to get working.

Basically I wanted to make a header template that when I update it,it would update each page automatically. So lets say I wanted to add another section to my site like LINKS, all I would need to do is update the template,upload that file,and it updates every single page. Rather than me updating every single page manually.

your "< ? include" is in the < head > section not the < body > section is why you can't get it to work.

It would work if the file containing the < ? include in a PHP file *.php.

Thanks for your help,but I learned that SSI does the same thing and I got the hang of it almost so far...

Well, SSI doesn't do much... Php is 200% more powerful
