pre-loading and pop-up

well, i'm just about done with my first serious site. just two little things that i've been researching and i can't find the answers to, not ones that work anyway. first, my website has some pretty big images and i wanna preload them all, what i want is that when you go to my site it just shows a simple black page with something like "welcome to my site, please wait while the images load" and then as soon as all the images are done loading it opens a pop-up window (640x640) with the actual page. then finally, i want it so that you can click like a "close this window" link and it jumps you back to another page in your normal browser...hehe, ok, so anyone that could tell me what the code is for all of this would be greatly appreciated, feel free to email me at [email]jorgerunfaster@yahoo.com[/email] thanks a lot...

Just search the net. You'll find lotz of tutorials or freeware scripts in javascript.
