Ok first, does anyone know the name of that type of menu on the left there?

I want something similar but for database driven content.

This is the deal. We have a over 1000 products on the site and really need to show each product on the sitemap. thats a long page, and anything below the product links probably won't get notice because no ones going to scroll that far

Does anyone know a script/program that would allow us to hook up our database/code in some ASP that would generate the top level info, and allow the user to open and close each area.

Any better ideas on how to handle this would be welcome as well
Thank You.

I would call it a hierarchial menu. Or however you spell it. As for actually doing it with a database, I have no idea. I don't do databases.

that's what was used to make this:

Chose Clothing-->Indian Leather Jackets and you'll see the effect of the database.

It's not really like learning anything new, it is VERY easy.

There are a lot of resources out there on scripting, + a lot of prebuilt things also. But your database driven menu system would not be tough at all to make.

Yah thats how i found that program. A hierarchy menu, searched for 'tree' menu and found some as well.

Matt:New Sig!
Anyways i can (heh, sorta) do the database driven part(asp). What i want to know is how i would be able to make content that acted like that menu, allowing users to open and close, but parts of it be database driven. My boss is really hug up on having the + ad - buttons....things. He doesn't want the page to reload. Otherwise i'd just set everything in tables and just have a different query in each link like you have.

I used to change my sig about every 2 days...I think I'm going to start doing that again.

This stupid one was more for fun...I was feeling in a childish mood, so I had fun.

http://www.mode-x.com has a really simple script in PHP. You should be able to modify it fairly easily.
