Is it possible to have a mailto tag that will grab a users name (whatever 'name' they have set in their email options) and put it on the subject line? Im thinking of an 'unsubscribe: thanks, travis |

There is also possible to put text into the main text of a email. Don't know how, but it is possible.

close, but no cigar. I know how to preset the subject, and how to insert what i want automatically in the body; what I want is for it to pull the user's name out of their profile or whatever they have set up and insert that into the subject line. Ive looked around other places, and am pretty sure its possible (or if it is, its more complex than a simple mailto tag). Thanks for the help though... Travis |

Hm.. WHen you say profile, what exactly do you mean? Is it on the users computer or a sire where logged in? You could always store the info on the users computer with a coolie and get it from there... Otherwise you might wanna use some kind of server side code and fetch it from a database. /Z |

by the name in the profile, I mean the name that shows up in people's inboxes. I send mail, and instead of it being 'elymt@hotmail.com', it says 'Travis'. I just dont think its possible, not without getting more complicated than its worth...
