newbie help with layout

Well I finally got in the forum thanks pank, I designed a site for my modified snowmobile drag racing team and I need a little help with a lay out. Is there any well designed sites in this catagory or can anyone give my some advice on what to add and not to. the old site is at www.angelfire.com/ga3/dragnracing

I don't see anything wrong with your layout now. Its fast and clean and easy to navigate. Maybe if you had some example of what kind of layout you wanted it would be easier to explain. But as it stands, your site is good enough.

well I was thinking of a layout that was more up beat. also i have a logo but it on a black bg and I would love to make it work with the site. also I would like to add a section on the main page updates of what's new with the team kind of like the news scroll on this site

Do you know of a tut on a portatree(draglights) either for photoshop or fireworks I always thought a little flash intro of the lights and when the green comes on you hear the engine it's only a thought.
