Special characters (French)

Hey,

I'm making a bilingual site (English / French) but as you may know, French has some characters that can't be seen in a HTML file like é, à, ê, etc.

In the past I've used entities to solve this little problem, but it's a pain in the ass and is such a long task. I was wondering the way to avoid replacing every character one by one with its entitie.
