ASP = Active Server Page Well it's just kind of another way to ensure your pages all look the same. Simplifies changes, because all you have to do is change one thing and it affects all linked pages. OK, forget that, I can't even understand that crap. I'm working on 1 thing right now. This might give you a better idea. I'm working on a site that allows the user to customize the site to their personal settings. The user will be able to change the font, the colors, the layout. Then can then preview their page to see how it looks before they save it. Ever use MSN or Excite and customized your layout? Like that. It's kinda' nifty. EDIT: Here, found a good link that explains the basics: http://www.aspsite.com/asp/tutorials/overview/default.aspx |

Lol Charm. When I first heard ASP was being used for web development, I couldn't believe it. How could they possibly benefit from a venomous snake from Africa?

A little more advanced look at Active Server Pages from what mattboy_slim posted. Things Needed: A page called index.asp A page called homenav.asp A page called team.asp What we'll be doing is including the homenav.asp page into the index.asp and team.asp pages. /////The homenav.asp page should look like this
////The index.asp and team.asp pages will look some thing like this. ////In these 2 pages you will be using this line of code to insert the homenav.asp page into the index and team.asp pages. ////"
////Remember not to have any body or html tags on the page you will be including. ///Now if you want to update your nav bar you just have to change the homenav.asp page and it will update the index.asp and team.asp pages. ////If you need any more help just ask. | |||
