Is there any possible way to make this functional?

yeah i think so.....

just use an image swap for whats in the big image's place and on the little thumbnail images make that yellow border rollover for them.
and save several versions of that arrow with the little square in different places from top to bottom...and yeah I think it could be scripted to be quite functional
