Include and tips

Hi,

Im making a (clan) site and i want to use functions like the include function.
And i also want to be able to show news on the main page, im going to try to use phpbb for that but im not sure yet how i will do that.

Do you guys have some links and tips for me on how to start this?
Im fine with graphics but i need the get know the coding much more!
