For my new layout I want to make it rely heavily on CSS2 so I can easily make site-wide changes. I want to have as many elements as possible depend on the stylesheet as possible, so I am going to list all the possible uses for CSS that I know of and please add any others which I leave out. Tables: -dimensions -padding -border -background color Font: -face -color -size -link colors/styles Pages: -page background |

Hmm .. off the top of my head: body { background margins } div { padding position (if you're using CSS positioning as well) width backgrounds (if any) } text { family size color weight align decoration } link, active, hover, visited { color decoration } |

What? You want us to list all of the different uses for CSS? Thats not possible. There are like 50 things you can define for any html element. Plus extras, like for lists and table cells and stuff. I dont really understand this thread. tom |

Nah, I am just trying to see if I missed anything important that can be regulated through a CSS file. Just like text colors and stuff like that, NOT telling me "oh CSS can be used for this."

Regulate everything with CSS. That way it will be much easier to update. And when it can be used for everything, why define things with normal html? tom |
