I'm having some troubles with relative layer positioning and z-index. I need to make a drop-down/flyout menu, but my layer is sticking within a row, and it needs to sit on top, not inside.

Page is here:

The problem area is the yellow-block.

Please take a look and let me know what the heck I'm doing wrong. Deker, I know you know how to fix this.

Thanks,
Matt

Whew... What a mess... I'd start over and code it with CSS by hand. Mixing tables and CSS is a big pain in the ass, especially absolute positioning.

You could try this method for drop downs which is nice: http://alistapart.com/articles/dropdowns/

You're telling me. A pain-in-the-ass is surely what this is. I'll give it a shot D...good thing I hadn't gotten very far into this.

Thanks.

Actually I got it fixed in v5:

I had to set the Z-Index to "5" before it would "go above" the rest of the code.

Don't worry D, I'm still going to look at ridding of my tables and converting to CSS, I just need to get the mock-up done by the end of the day today.
