Hello,

Yesterday I was surfing the forum and saw something that caught my eye.

The website showcased has those very uniform arrow scrollers (with not scroll bar) in the frames. I'm interested in learning how this is done. Not a novice to html or javascript.

I usually don't use those trendy features in my designs because they often get played out IMO. But I see how neat and subtle it can look and that's great. Very appealing to me.

Can anyone suggest a tutorial for this feature?

Appreciate any advice
Regards
Fess

Those are just normal scroll bars, with all the colors the same as the background, except the arrow color. Only works in IE, otherwise it is kind of ugly.

lazyroll, marble...

I see what you mean. looks a bit out of shape in netscape, but if assumed it would look the same since IE/Netscape are pretty close in updates. Wonder how it looks in Mac's browser (safari I believe)

Yet again I'm reminded why I don't use that stuff.

Thanks for the input

Well the thing is customized scroll bars are primarily an IE thing. I think I remember coming across a browser no one uses that had their own version of it (Konqueror?). So it looks cool in IE, but other browsers it looks ugly. I don't know why they just don't make custom scroll bars a standard as it has a nice design element to it, and doesnt detract from page navigation, imo.
