is there a way to make layers have borders? well, just a line outlide of the whole layer? or, is there a way to make a frame with a colour background semi-trasnparent, so you could see the main background image of the whole site through the frame? |

I don't think you can modify the layers properties to have a border, but you could stick a table w/ a border in a layer. That should work like a charm.

with cascading style sheets you can give borders to just about everything. Div {border-style: solid; border-width: medium; border-color: silver;} would give you a solid 2 pixel (probably), silver coloured border around your divs. Netscape 4 puts a slight amount of padding between your border and its content some of the time. Thats the only bug I know of. Your background question is probably possible, I'd try using a semi transparent gif.. Not sure what you mean by frame etc.. |
