where could i LEARN dhtml? all i find is script sites, and i don't like using other peoples work. anyone?

The best way is to buy a book. I recommend Designing w/ JavaScript by Nick Heinle, which will teach you the basics of JavaScript. Then after you read that, buy a DHTML book. I don't know of any offhand.
