CAn some one help. I just need to know if its possible to link "content" to a cell table? I have made this design www.kaliche.com/home.html for you to get an idea of what i want to do. All i need now is tyo know if its possible to link to a cell in a table and how i can do it. Thanxs in advance. Raul |

Short answer: no. You could use an iFrame though. Or layers (div tags). You may want to look into both of those. Search this forum for either for more info. |

I think you can using javascript, but I am not positive. Paavo the Javascript king might know the answer....

I knew this was the best forum!!! Im trying to avoid frames but that it be ok to. can use dreamweaver for the layers??? any iddeas will help a lot. thanks |

Yes, dreamweaver can do layers. You just click the layers button, and draw out the layers and drag them around where you want them. Pretty easy.

As you can see in new to this site and development, i been comming here from long ago for photoshop (my heart and passion). One more question (soory) Can i link documents (html) to a layer? |

You can use javascript to switch the visibility of certain layers, if that is how you want to do it. Try looking into the behaviors in DW, there should be a "show/hide layer" function. Though it's always best to just go with plain old html if you can. |

no, in my opinion you should just use html tables. and just load a new page with new content in the cell. the next best would be iFrames, but not just plain ol' frames. |

can you just tell whats iFrames is? May be a stupid question but all i ever used was old frame sets and plain old html tables for my sites. Now i want to get better so i started to use dreamweaver for special efferct using layers and so forth. Again thanks for all your help. |
