Personally i hate PHPtraid.. i would check search for "easyphp" on google. It has Mysql, apache, and phpMYadmin. All you need to have a full running server-like machine. i use it mostly because i travel alot, and im not always on the internet to check my scripts. have fun with it!

Apache 1.3.7, MySQL (Pre 4.0), and PHP (current), and phpMyAdmin are easy to set up. I had issues trying to set up phpMyAdmin with Apache 2.0 and MySQL 4.0, but I think it was the MySQL version that was buggy with phpMyAdmin.
