Transparent tables

Hello

I was wondering how i would get a transparent table on my site so i could see the background (when i say transparent i mean see through the table but having a another color over the top of it if you know what i mean)

Tables by themselves are invisible if you dont give them any color attributes or borders. But if you want a semi transparent color then in a style set the background using a gif with transparencies. I am pretty sure you would then have a seperate img for each table, or you can give them all the same css style.

thank you for replying ive also found another way to do this using a bit code :

img style=filter:alpha(opacity=50)

you can just change the opacity up and down until you get the right settings

Cool. That sounds like it will work just fine. You might want to check and make sure that is compatible with at least Opera and Netscape/Mozilla.

aren't those alpha filters ie only ?.. or atleast they were back in the day.
