a server side language, pretty much like PHP, but based on JavaScript, from what I've gathered.

i've been to several sites to find out about it. Um... so u don't have to install it on your server like php forums and stuff likr that? How axaclty does it work?

I'm not familiar with ASP at all, but yes, the server must have that language installed in order to parse it.

The server needs to be a Windows server running IIS or PWS. Its like HTML running on a normal webserver, cept that that webserver needs to be a Windows server.

anyone know how exactly it works? One site said u just upload a folder with all the information in it for like a poll or something and thats basically all you have to do. No setup or anything like php polls.

Its like any other server side script. Upload and use. PHP is the same, you upload and use it. The setup is because you need to use a database. So if that ASP script require the use of MSSQL, then there some setup. I suggest you look into how these scripts work. |
