what are ur guys thoughts on layers? i find them easy to use but is it a cheap fix? r u better off using tables instead of layers? do layers work in all browsers? thanks

I like using tables because I feel they are a little easier to work with, but they are being replaced by layers and stylesheets. For instance, you don't have to give x, y coordinates to position a table (layers you have to), it's either left, center, or right align. But with the new browsers today, using CSS and layers seem to be a wise choice. Not only are they W3C standards, but the possibilities are almost endless with what you can do with them. They are also compatible with most any 4.x or greater browser our there.

depends on what you mean by layers... if you mean < div> tags with CSS, it is good. If you mean actual < layer> tags and all other manner of crazy things, then they are bad.
