How would I go about editing w/notepad then opening the file with IE ? I keep getting asked if I want to download or open from site... I've tried to associate with IE but same thing. I'm thinking I'd have to install PHP local but after that where do I start? |

You'll need to install PHP with Apache. Without it, it just downloads it.

php works like a normal web page, you save it with the .php extension and then open it in a browser window, but.... it relies on a server to run the code, so you need to set up a server and then install php.

another good one is: http://robouk.mchost.com/tuts/tutorial.php?tutorial=server1 It is very simple and straightforward. I had trouble installing php4.2.3 on the new Apache server (2.?.?), so I went back to the 1.3.27 (win32) version (last stable release) and it installed error free. But I read some where that others couldnt install it either. |
